Default Failed Emission test

Did the emission test twice and failed both time.

only thing is failed is HC ppm Idle, Limit was 150 the reading was 263.

The type R has 225,000 KMS (stock), Mechanic told me I needed a new one. I heard high flow catalytic converter don't last very long. I want a reliable and direct bolt catalytic converter. But OEM ones are $$$$.

Just want to get peoples views and insight.

Thanks

If you wannt a direct bolt on your going to spend around $250, around $100 for a universal, you'd just have to get flanges welded to it..
