There are people that break with 160 whp. Others run 9's on them for a couple of passes. Gears, diffs, and bearings fail. It's all mechanical. What do you honestly want to know? Don't treat it like **** and it'll hold for the most part.

yeah i understand, its like that with anything.i'm looking at a type r tranny right now,the guys says its in mint condition and obviously already equipped with lsd and wants $800for it,would it be better to buy a lsd and just do a rebuild on my gsr tranny or is it worth spending the $800 on it.

Depends on your funding I suppose.

If you can spare the change, rebuild your GSR trans. You know the condition of it, and will know what the condition will be after you spend the money. Plus, an MFactory, Quaife, Wavetrac, etc. diff will be a bit stronger than the OEM differential in most cases.

If you can't put out the cash to get an aftermarket diff, go ahead and get the ITR trans. The diff in that will be stronger than the one in your GSR trans. Provided it is truly "MINT", then it's a decent deal.
