Default New to the board and have some questions on my car.

Hey guys I am new to the board. I have a 91 crx si with a D16y8 running an obd1 dist and p28 ecu. The car is running with a miss fire at idle and then as soon as I give it gas it is smooth. The only problem is at idle the car is idling at 200rpm and will have the missfire condition till about 1200rpm. At first I noticed that the used dist that I was using had oil in it so I replaced dist, dist cap, rotor, coil, then did plugs and wires all with honda oem parts. The car still has the same problem. The only thing that I can think of is that I am still using the 96-01 injectors with the p28 ecu. Any insightful tidbits that anyone can give me?

That was actually my other question, where is the idle adjustment screw so I can do that? Thanks for the reply.

should be a brass screw directly above the throtle body inlet. (#1 in pic below)
Warm up the engine and unplug the EACV (#17 in pic below) before adjusting. then set the idle to around 750 rpm. when your done, plug the EACV back in and reset the ecu.

Edit: sorry, I just told you the OBD0 way to set the idle, I'm not positive if it will work for your setup or not.... can anybody else confirm for me?

FYI a car (honda in this case) under 500 rpms will stall and turn off. theres no way u can be running @200 rpms..... my car sometimes goes down to 550-600 and its basically almost off......
yes it will be better for you to change the inyectors...... i fried the OBDI inyectors by using them on a OBDo ECU...... check the resistance on the inyectors..... if theres none, then the inyectors its fried and u need new ones. maybe thats why its misfiring. bc of not fuel.....
check the MAP sensor to make sure its conected right
its the EVAC working?
just a few pointers.........

You can thank Majestic Honda (www.hondaautomotiveparts.com) for the diagram I stole it from their site.
