It's pretty easy. Remove all the wires going to it, they're all just plugs, no cutting. Label them so you don't get mixed up later. Remove the hoses (coolant will spill out), vacuum lines... Depressurize your fuel system and remove the connection at the end of the fuel rail. The manifold has 8ish bolts attaching it to the head and 1-2 under it on a bracket.
Look for a Y7 to Y8 manifold swap write up, there are good ones out there.

It will give you ZERO issues when trying to remove the engine. I did it to mine. I only removed the exhaust manifold. Motor and trans came right out with no problems.
