Can a 2000 Si run a +37 offset?
New to Honda's but I'm trying to find out if I can run a 16 x 7 wheel with a +37 offset without rubbing or rolling the fenders on a 2000 Si. Going to be dropped on koni/GC's with about a finger gap. My calculation puts the wheels about 21 mm more towards the fender. Any advice would be good.
Not to sound like a punk, but if you know exactly how much further this combination will place the tire compared to where it is now, couldn't you just go measure the clearance on the car instead of asking?
But, generally, a +37 offset on a 7" wide wheel is fine for a 2000 Si. Tire size will also play a role on fitment. +38 16x7s fit on my Integra fine, and these cars can usually interchange wheels without issue.

Thanks. I did go measure and it looks alright, but it's hard to tell cause the car still has the stock suspension with 5 inches of gap.
I'm pretty sure it won't scrape.
I have some Enkei 92s, 14x6.5 +33, with 195/60/R14s on an EF Hatch and it sits fine.
Tires is really what you have to worry about.. 195/45/R16 or 195/50 would be good.
Plus since you're going low the drop will help you out with some natural negative camber.

A 2000 Civic Si should be running 205/45-16 or 215/45-16, not 195/45-16 (which is too small in diameter).
And while I've never seen a 195/50-16 before, apparently that is a reasonable sized tire for the car. Tire selection looks to be very limited in that size though.

I would do it all day. It will give your car a nice, not too flush and not too sunken in look to it. Go for it but use the correct size tires : 205/45-16 would be my number 1 pick.
If you find yourself rubbing(not saying u will) you can either simply lift your car up (if u have coilovers) or look into a rear camber correction kit to pull a tiny bit of negative adjustment.
Also, make sure you get a good alignment after you are finishing making these mods. Try to look at a place that can accomodate for a lowered car and also, a place that will offer you a lifetime alignment no matter what height, rim/tire combo you have.
