Default Mod or not to Mod?

Just posing the question, with the ITR being the ONLY Type-R North America has had as limited production "track tuned" vehicle. Would it hurt us a owners of such a prestigious car to modify our R's once we sold our R's or kept them? I.E. basic bolts to mild & wild internal engine mods? The 25th Anniversary Special Issue of GRM will have Type R Buyers Guide thread got me thinking. What are your thoughts both positive & negative about this?

Nothing wrong w/ modding your R but the more you mod the less "valuable" you make it.

x2.

The more you push the car away from it's stock form the less it's worth when you figure out it's resail value. Automobiles depreciate from the minute you drive it off the showroom floor. ITR's for one seam to hold there value compared to other cars.

imo you can't go wrong with leaving it stock. you can go right with modding it assuming you do it well, but you can equally go horrendously wrong with modding it as well.
