need advice on my 93DA
hey guys i just recently bought a 93 integra RS 5speed problem with the car is i cant get into any gears but i already know what this is its my clutch so im gonna get a new clutch kit.
then here's the part i need advice on since im changing the clutch, i want to swap the motor out because its has the load of miles and i have a extra motor on the side with only 80,xxxxmiles on it but my extra motor is a 91 LS motor automatic which is a OBD-0 i think and the 93 motor is a OBD1 if im not mistaken and ofcourse im planning to keep it 5 speed so if i swap my 91 motor inside the 93 integra will everything just plug and play? and i think i can run my 93DA ecu with a jumper harness OBD1 to OBD-0?? but i still got the automatic ecu for the 91 motor so any help would be really appreciated thank you.

well i had a 90 integra i was parting out for my 92 but the problem is the dizzy has different hook ups that seemed like the only thing different besides the ecu oh and you will need the switch the ecu from automatic to manual
Strip the 91 motor down to just the bare longblock and use EVERYTHING from the 93, like manifolds, injectors, dizzy, ecu, alternator, etc and there will be no issues. No need to jumper anything.
ya they only thing you should really have a problem with is the dizzy but go ahead and swap your intake manifold starter and alt. use the obd1 dizzy and your golden man
yup he is right, the intakes, injectors, dizzy and alternator are diffrent, also you are going at have to watch out of fan switch, the one for the 93 model is on the thermostat housing and the one on the 91 is behind the block close to the oil filter, just reuse the housing from the 93 and dont worry about the extra sensor on the 91, also the intermediate shaft, the axles and the starter are the same for automatic and 5 spd.
If you are putting the 91 engine into the 93 body, you need to swap the distributor, injectors, alternator, and run the fan switch plug to the back of the block. You might need to swap intakes, but I'm not sure you have to. Doing all this keeps your car OBD1. Everything else is plug and play. I'm running OBD0 on an OBD2 engine with no problems.
The only other thing I would do is install the 93 cams, they are more aggressive. 91 B18A engines made 130hp, 93 made 140. Credit the cams and OBD1.

I done this swap before and I put both the auto and the manual intermediate shaft next to each other and they look the same so I decided to put the 5 spd with auto tranny and it worked just fine and I did the same with the axles and starter, if you want go to autozone or oreillys website and look up the starter or the axle and you are going to notice that the part numbers for the manual and auto are the same

dude if you have the spare ls motor on the side, pick up a b16 head, b16 cable tranny, go lsvtec, throw your new clutch into the b16 cable tranny, i gaurantee you wont be disappointed with your outcome
i would do all that but im on a low budget right now so i just wanna do the ls swap and btw i know how strong the lsv is cuz my friend has it in his integra and he fully built it from bottom to top by him self the low end and high end power is ****in unbelievable maby one day il do that haha
