Fuel System Maintenance?
The only way to tell how long it will last is to find failure or to do periodic maintenance on your equipment and monitor wear. Some pumps/regulators are easy to take apart and inspect while others are not easy to take apart.
It's very dependant on the materials the component is made of, fuel used, environment it's used in and how hard you push the part.
Opinion time....
-Regulator should last forever unless the fuel eats it away. May need to replace seals every now and then....
-Pump (Bosch) should last a few seasons, again, dependant on all variables mentioned above....
-Pump (Weldon) I'd take it apart every season to check it out....
-Pump (Aeromotive) I'd just throw it away if you have one and save yourself the frustration.... lol

What pump do you have?
Call the manufacture and talk with them. If it's one of the big name brands, I'm sure they take a look at it for you.
Or we can tell you all kinds of things to mess with your mind.

CHECK THEM, the 10 micron is the one you gotta worry about. I usually take them out and blow through them to see how clogged they are, i always have a spare of one of those because i already lost an engine due to one getting dirty as hell.
