I am not trying to hurt anyone bussiness but is so sad and dissapoint when you spend 4000 on a tranny that is supposed to hold the 800 whp of our civic and suddenly this one break on your third pass, and the worst of everything is when you try to contact this bussiness the only answer they have for you is we have the parts to fix it and they cost $$$$, we work hard to save some money to buy parts for our cars but honestly with this kind of poor customer satisfaction we just got from liberty we are not going anywhere on this hobby,


i feel like someone point me with a gun a took my money, thats how i feel right now, and i am sharing this with u guys because i dont want anyone of you to be fool like liberty did to me, things happens i know that but at least show me some interest in resolving my problem as a customer who pick your products on a market full of different brands to choose from.

our green coupe had a gsr tranny before and it hold more than 25 passes, we make the switch to liberty and this are the results we had

 

That Sucks, For that kind of money they should have at least had you send the dogbox back to see if it was a product failure or a installation issue. either way that is alot of money in these times.

hey, ive got a par gear set with the wrong 2nd gear and par want exchange it. been fighting with them for over a year now. its a 4400.00 paper weight never been used.

yes strain gauge working right and we were revving the car 9000rpm bc we were testing the tranny first, the car broke 4th gear, never dynoed this tranny,

miller are you using liberty? if yes, have you had any issues before?

 

I hear ya man.. it sucks. If you at least got a season out of it.. wouldn't be so bad. 3 passes.. damn, expensive 3 passes.

 

Strange. I know I'm going to hear flack about this, but there are a lot of people using the Liberty gear set with no issues, including a few 8 second, and 7 seconds passes. I wonder if there is a problem with this specific batch of gears or if it's EUE??

 

i feel you man, thats why we choose liberty, but this is not the first dogbox we work with, we have worked with PAR and magnus before for customers and they work just fine, we choose liberty for the billet bellhousing too

so were u guys clutching the car or no? and u can use libertys housing on every gearset with a little love, and for what its worth the ppg is great u just need a after market bell housing

 

yes man we we are driving the tranny like a stock tranny, using the clutch.

we have strain gauge, but we were testing the tranny, we were using the clutch on the 3 passes we made.

but the point is guys we didnt even push the car to high rpm, and shifting to 4th at 9000 rpm was when it happen

Good point, these dog boxes aren't cheap at all. I wish there's more company out there that makes this boxes so that hopefully the price would go down a bit more.

boostedeg6-1, was this one of the original gearsets? They slightly changed their design after the initial release. I know because I have second revision parts. PPG supplied them to me free of charge! What does that say about customer service? It says a lot in my book....
