Default Radiator fan Switch removal

What has people used to remove/unscrew the radiator fan switch from the housing? I tried my biggest pair of pliars, a pair of vice grips..the only thing I havent tried is channel locks which I dont have. Its pretty tight on there.

A small impact screwdriver? One that you hit with a small hammer?

A 15/16" will do you fine, dependent on what motor this is, you may have clearance issues getting the socket on flush due to the water bypass outlet. An adjustable is your friend, lol.

if you use a vortex gearwrench socket it will go on with very little effort and you wont have to worry abouyt it not fitting over the sensor
