i have a 2000 honda civic lx with a gsr swap it cranks but dont start i check if i have sparks and i do and then i also replace my fuel pump but still do the same thing i dont know really no what to check for

is the fuel pump priming? (humming sound when you turn the ingition to on position)

 

fuel pump turn on and i hear the main relay turning on and check all the fuse replace it check all my spark is all good and change too like 3 ecu still not turning but it crank like it wants to start anybody please help me

Is spark bright white or weak orange or blue? If spark is fine, check whether the timing belt skipped a tooth or two.

 

yeah, sounds like timing issues then if your getting good spark, connections and fuses are fine.

 

so timing could cause the car not to start up ?and i also disconnect the fuel line that goes to the fuel regulator and turn it to the on position and fuel shoot out fine but ill work on it tonight to see whats goin on

 

i just check my SENSOR ASSY., AIR TEMP and is burnt do you guys think thats the problem???? that my car wont start?

 

another thing u might wanna check it happened to my itr is the vtec fluid its right on the firewall u might wanna check that out too...

Have you checked to make sure fuel is actually getting to the engine?

 

how do i check for that ??? all i did was unplug the line that goes on bottom of the fuel regulator and when i put it on the on position (WHEN ALL THE CLUSTER LIGHTS TURNS ON AND FUEL PUMP RUNNING AND MAIN RELAY CLICKING) fuel comes out of that line is that a good way of checking it?

Absolutely. If the timing belt skips even one or two teeth, the engine may not start.

What color is spark at the plugs?

Any CEL codes?

It will help if you try to answer all questions.

no more check engine light it was just i disconnect the vtec solenoid no more check engine light

Has it run in this car before and stopped, or did you just swap it and can't get it started? What year is the engine? What year is the ECU? What ECU are you running? What OBD level is the car/ECU? The car should be OBD2b - Are you also using a 2b ECU, or something else with a jumper harness?

An OBD2b GSR engine with an OBD2b GSR P72 ECU will not start in a Civic without ECU mods.

 

im running a 2000 honda civic si engine harnesss with a 2000 acura integra gsr motor it was runnnning before but just stop running recently but the ecu is a p30 chipped obd1 could it be the idle control valve by anychance i try starting it up just 20 min ago it was about to turn but it didnt start like it chokin
