Default EF sedan DX vs. LX vs. EX trim Q?

Okay I'm in the market for EF sedan.
I would pick power steering over power windows or power locks any day.

1) What are the differneces between the sedan trims (besides weight, motor/tranny, ex with larger front brakes)

2) The black/unpainted DX bumpers.... are they the same as pained LX/EX bumpers? differences?

3) Did white ef sedans ever come with Black interior?

4) are there seat fabric (not color) difference between LX gray seats vs EX gray seats?

5) I've heard that not all LX come with PS.... I've also heard that some/rare DX came with PS? .... help me set it strait.

Thanks, Charlie

1) DX is a base model, no power options. LX was the same with power options

2) DX base bumper were the same as LX, just not painted. There are two styles 88-89 & 90-91

3) No DX or LX ever had a black interior

4) don't know

5) DX did have a p/s option, i had one

I live in Canada, so i can only help with dx and lx models....we never ot the cool EX model

it must be. because we have black interior in our red dx models, and there isn't any black interior in any of our ex models.

Don't quote me on this but those seats look to be custom upholstery.
The EX's interior is way cooler than the LX's it's the si version of the sedan models and yeah DX's and LX's came with black interiors only the rio red models that I know of,not to sure on the EX models since I've only seen a few,but I have seen a white EX with a maroon interior (ugly in my opinion)I just scored a black dash from a '90 dx and I'm looking for EX seats and door panels for mine.Every EX interior I've seen has killer seats and door panels Looks like eg si jdm seats.

1 Since you are comparing DX/LX/EX, then I will ASSUME you are talking about 90/91 model years, since EX never came in 88/89. DX is basic, no power locks/windows, manual mirrors, no cruise control, no tach, and no clock, but there were some that got power steering, not all though, my friends stock DX has it. LX had a tach, power windows and locks, cruise control, power mirrors, clock, and that's about it. EX's were multipoint injection, had larger front disc brakes, a larger MC and BB, different gear ratios for both auto and manual, cruise control, power windows and locks, power mirrors, clock, also had different upholstery on the seats. I still have my stock rears if you want a pic.

2 Same exact bumpers, just painted on the LX/EX.

3 No, Frost White DX/LX sedans came with blue interior whereas the EX Frost White sedan came in maroon SE interior. Only black interior sedans were the Phoenix Red sedans, and those only came in DX/LX trims.

4 I would believe so, since the blue and blue interior colored EX sedans had different interiors, but I have not seen the interior of a Charcoal Granite Metallic EX sedan, so I can not say 100%.

5 All LX trim sedans came with PS, however, the DX may have been a dealer installed option? I can't say for sure, but what I do know is as stated before, my friend has PS on his, and he did not install it, and the PO was an old lady that had it garaged for 7 years.

Man... Steve... No, he bought those seats from me, they were in my first riced out 4 door, they are STOCK in terms of original brackets and cushions, but they were reupholstered in grey pleather by the PO. Steve stop spreading wrong info please.

i dont know about that one, my ex was a 90, and the interior was maroon, and looked just like all the cars, except for the power window/lock switches.

I know your right,I've only seen one white EX it was on seattle craigslist, the interior was the same as the LX's.The blue EX's I've seen were at Foster LKQ wreaking yard and the interiors were CLEAN,I saw the first one and was like WHOA it's got custom/jdm seats and door panels then i saw a second with the same seats and door panels.so i figured they just came like that .I'm KICKIN" myself for not grabbin' that stuff. It's Nice to meet someone who's not tryin' to start a pissin' match and who can share info.

White EX had Maroon interior, not blue like the white DX/LX. Here is an OG white EX I looked at once...

I thought I had more interior shots, but I guess not.

My EX is blue, and as stated, they come with a different material on the inside. I know why RENO is saying his looked like the other interiors, because Maroon EX had the same interior.

Here is a White LX interior, don't mind the throw up, I had to drive that POS home one night when the guys I was with got drunk off their asses...
