Default 91 DX CEL/Misfire

Bought it from a yard.. so no service records. In the trunk I found two injectors.. so I'm not sure if the problem is related to injectors or something else (like dizzy). And I don't know how to pinpoint the issue.

Basically.. it doesn't like to rev up. It idles a little rough.
In neutral, I can rev it up no problem but it will throw a CEL until I turn off the car.
While driving, if I rev past 3-4k the car will jerk violently back and forth as if it's trying to rev but is limited somehow.. ( and it blinks a CEL a few times and then dissapears). Other then that the car drives perfectly.

So how should I properly diagnose the issue? To me it sounds like fuel cut but I can't be certain.

Is it the same as a crx hf where the ecu is beneath the passenger carpet and a led blinks the code?

Or how do I do it? Never done it before.
