so there is a free b18b1 short bloack in the classifieds and he says that the owner forgot to put oli in it does that i know it's effed but is it beyond repair fot some one with patience? and want to learn how to work with motor internals?

oh and what is the difference between the b18b short block and long block?

 

I doubt it's beyond repair. If it's free pick it up, can't hurt to play with it and learn something, you have nothing to loose. The difference between shortblock and longblock is shortblock is a motor without any trans or head attached. Longblock is a block with a head on it.

 

k ignore the first part cuz i didn't get it any ways. but is there any real difference between the short and long block ? i really dont know
