da auto to manual swap problems
hey whats up people..here is the deal.. I did a auto to manual swap on my 90 db1. Everything seemed to bolt up fine including my shimmed upper tranny mount. After some reading on HT I decided on shimming the mount and not buying the after market mount. I shimmed just like previous post indicated. 1" is what I shimmed...Is that enough? The problems is that I get some vibration on acceleration only coming from the passenger side..Car is running straight but when I accelerate it vibrates...Before the swap it ran good with the old axles I had..This is my second tranny on here!!! I changed out the first tranny because of the vibration and because it would not go into 5th...I figuered it was the tranny and so I took it out...Before I changed it out I bought new axles....Today I installed a different tranny and swaped out the axles again since they are lifetime..Car drove good but still vibrates upon acceleration... Note:its light vibration nothing violent/almost seems like the car is stiff on that corner... what is the problem any ideas? Please help

that might be the problem also check all the bolts are tied good and in some cases ppl get the abs cv joint and use those and ur car doesnt have abs that can cause a vibration

thanks for the reply curioso...I do indeed have the abs axles on my non abs 90 integra. I have never had a problem before with those axles on a non abs car though. For future refrence to others with this problem....it had to be the hieght although it looks right on visually if its off by a bit you will get the vibration because of the hieght of the tranny. Last night I went ahead and installed the innovative conversion mount that I found on HTmarketplace and walla problem resolved. Thank god for HONDA-TECH!!!!!!!
