Default stuburn battery light 2002 civic sl 1.7

My wife said she got a battery light, srs,and flashing lights all over the dash. i confirmed this even the odometer and ac pushbtton lights flashed at about .5 second intervals. I checked the battery there was some corrosion but the battery case was cracked. So I imediately replaced battery and terminals. The flashing stopped. but the battery light stayed on. I checked the charge voltge it was low about 11.8vdc. So it looked like a bad altenator replaced with life time warrenty unit. (tough had to remove ps pump and lift the motor mount about 12mm to get top alt bolt out it hi frame before we could getthe old alt out) tightened the belts within reason and ran the car charging voltage is 13.6 to 14.1 depending if the radiator fan was on. But still have the battery light. Any help?

Probably still the alternator. See this thread:

Thank you.

True my new alternator could be bad. But, the other thread was a little vague on out put voltages while running.

"down to 12.4 volts to get a little more gas mileage. When the load goes up, so does the voltage, to 14.4 volts." is that the actual honda volt spec or just what he is seeing, and are those the minimum or are they nominal +/- 10% say?

I would like to test a little better before going through that swap again.

Is there anything else that can cause the light since it is constant (even at 14.1 volts) not flashing/flickering like the other post.
