Have a few pics with a question... Like I've said earlier, I just bought this car and it has had an engine replacement... I think they forgot to attach a hose to something and here are the pics below... Also can anyone tell me the year of this motor?

 

That's the breather tube for the tranny. It should be like that.

 

The F22B1 was Honda's first VTEC engine, it was produced from '94 till '97. The engine has a 7-digit serial number: first engine has no. 1000001. Hard to determine the exact year of your engine.

 

Crazy how all them numbers won't tell you the year....

 

Of course Honda keeps track of VIN-engine-transmission number combinations of the cars they produce.

Engine numbers F22B1-27.... were produced in 1995 (Ohio plant). Transmissions numbered P2U5-60... also date from 1995. They were fitted to the F22B1 engines starting number F22B1-21...onward.
