im woundering if the itr caliper can just bolt up to rs steering knuckle and done. .

The steering knuckles are the same. You must machine or purchase 92-96 prelude VTEC rotors that have been redrilled to 4x100. The caliper also needs to be machined by 2mm.

What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish? For example, if you want shorter stopping distances, in many cases your best move would be to get stickier tires. Brake pads can't reduce your stopping distances if your tires are the limiting factor in your braking, and they probably are, unless you're using really sticky tires.
Are you having any problems with your braking? For example, if your brakes are fading when they get hot, you may be boiling your brake fluid - in which case that may be caused by failing to change your fluid regularly. You can also get high-performance brake fluid which boils at a higher temperature, which can reduce problems with fade.
Are you using your car on the racetrack, or in autocrosses? Or just on the street? (There are specific brake pads for competition use that may help.)
Or do you just want to upgrade your brakes so you'll have bragging rights on the bench racing circuit?

Tell us why you think you want to upgrade your brakes, and what problems you are now having that you hope will be eliminated by doing so.
^^Agree^^. Bigger brakes are not always the best option, unless you want them just to have them. There definatly more cost efficiant ways to solve a brake problem or reduce 60-0 stoping distances.

+1. I'd recommend Hawk HPS as an upgrade over the OEM pads. I used the HPS+ in autox but they are a bit grabby for the street and need to be heated up a bit.
If you wish to have a firmer pedal feel consider going to stainless lines when it is time to replace your aging rubber OEM lines. It made a world of difference on my auto-x EG and had no downside to regular driving.
I may have some NIB pads/lines in my workshop if you are interested (shameless plug). Just send me a PM.
