Quick related question: the car wont start with a bum ecu will it? I got a pm6 from the pick n pull and i plugged it in. My car is still dpfi but it started up. Check engine light was on though. I just wanna know if i should take it back. Sorry for the thread jack.

car will start but run/idle like crap. you should have some CEL's if you have a dpfi car with a mpfi ecu plugged in

1. ground at thermostat housing
2. main relay
3. ignition switch

a main relay will cause the ecu not to have power the ground on the housing is good and the car is turning over fine

the ECU gets its power from the main relay - yellow/black wire from main relay which splits inside the harness and goes to ECU pins A13 and A15
