hi i just bought this 1990 crx it runs great at idle and all the way up to about 3500 rpm then the tach starts jumpin and actin like it isnt getting enough fuel the car is stock with the d15b7 and dpfi any info would be helpfull thanx

 

its got a d15b2 not the b7 any ideas ?

 

did you replace the fuel filter?

 

also try running fuel system cleaner through it for like 2-3 tanks, that helped mine out along with a new filter and pump strainer

 

I would check:
Distributor (coil specifically)
Tune up (new rotor, cap, plugs)
Fuel Filter
Fuel Pump
Could possibly be timing.

Do you have any more background on the problem? Did it just come out of no where one day, did it slowly start doing it, has it always done it, etc.

 

well i bought this car from a guy that told me it was running great and would pass smog but all the windows were blown out of it so i had it towe without really drivin it and when i had a chance to drive it thats how it acted i plan on doin the cap rotor wires tune up just waitin to get paid so hope fully that and some fuel system cleaner should do it if not hopefully it throws a code or something thanks for your help
