Default Clifford AG4 Remote Start ?'s

It will not remote start unless I hold down the clutch pedal. I e-mailed the guy I bought the AG4 from and asked him if I needed a relay or needed to tap a wire into the clutch switch and he responded:

"The AG 4 is designed already to work with a manual transmission. The way it works is you put the car in neutral then you put the unit in quickstart mode then open and close your doors and arm the system. the alarm then knows that you exited the vehicle and will remote start again as long as no one has disarmed and opened the door before trying to remote start."

Following his instructions it doesn't work.

What do I need to do to bypass the clutch switch?

the clutch pedal bypass may not be hooked up correctly.

Your car won't start (factory) without the clutch being held down, in order to correct this, you need to short the clutch switch (found at clutch pedal..up top..reach up there, its the higher one, not the first one..)

Not sure about the ag4, but it might have a wire specifically made to tap this.

there was not a wire that was directly called out for the clutch in the install guide

make sure you are getting the vechicle's crank wire after the clutch relay.
