Default Higher RPM? Problem?

Before this week my RPM's where at 4,500 while driving 70mph. Which is normal. Driving in 5th gear. Now they are at 5,000 going 70mph and close to 5,500 while going 80mph in 5th gear. Is this normal? What problem/s would I have since the RPM jump higher? Anyone with suggests? Thanks!

It could be the clutch slipping a little.

def. could be... most b16 trannies do rev high... but might be the clutch like you say... drive it down the road in first gear then shift into 5th and give it WOT.. that will put a load on your clutch for sure...
