I've been searching trying to find some information on this. I have an EDM wing on my crx, its an si with rear wiper, i want to do away with the rear wiper, body work and repaint the hatch, but when i put the wing back on, it will have the hole in it for the wiper, so my question is, was this wing made without the hole for the wiper? my buddy is trying to sell this exact wing that doesn't have the hole in it, but i wanna make sure its not just some after market bs wing that i can pick up for cheap.

Easy solution just fill in the hole with fiberglass and paint match it. If I remember correctly the oem wing is just plastic.

definitely correct.....the wing never came "flush" im afraid.

I've just got rid of the rear wiper off my SiR, however the standard SiR spoiler looks a bit strange with the wiper recess for the spoiler......gonna get a spare one to fill and spray i think.

 

well if there was never a wing made without the wiper hole, what kind of wing is this that my friend has? doesn't look like it was filled in, looks like it was designed that way.

 

It's either a knock off or when your buddy bought it the previous owner filled it in
