Default will the obd1 dizzy be the same as the y8 dizzy?

i have a d16a6 and did an obd1 swap.
will changing to a y8 head require i change out the dizzy to a different one?

the one your using for your obd1 might not bolt up right. which distributor are you running?

OBD1 SOHC ones work except for the D16Z6 one.
D16Z6 has a different bolt pattern.
I guess it technically works, but you have to cut the 'ears' to be able to bolt it up.

Whatever dizzy you have on now will bolt up and work perfectly with the Y8 head.
I ran a 93 DX dizzy on a Y8 head with a P28.

i think i have the tu-42 dizzy
