Default Where to route antenna coax?

Hi all,

Newbie here with a question- Have a basically stock '90 Teg with a B18B, its my daily commuter and STILL a kick to drive. I am also a ham operator in the process of installing a UHF radio in the Teg. Will be drilling a .75" hole above the dome light to mount the antenna. The question is how directly can I get the coax up front to the radio? Unfortunately a trunk mount is not possible, so it has to go to the front. With those silly shoulder belt tracks is there a channel for wiring in the A pillars? How to get to it- under the metal plate beneath the door seal? Or is that out of the question? Would the next pillar back be any better, or will I have to go back all the way behind the rear passenger door then forward again? At 445 MHz long coax runs are not the worst thing but certainly not the best either. Wish Honda had not gone to that design for passive restraint...

Thanks!

Could someone at least please give me a hint about how to open the edge of the roof liner? Again, the silly passive restraint automatic whiz bang motorized shoulder belts are complicating things.

Thanks,

I apparently started in the wrong place. I moved to a new thread in the Audio Video Security area. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...highlight=coax
