Default Who am I kidding? Its still USDM.. my build

So I figured that I should finally put some pics up of my 95% finished build after you guys put up with a lot of my stupid questions on here. Some background: this is my first build, I went broke on at least 5 or 6 different occasions, and I'm a college student so going broke isn't hard to do haha. I bought this 93 Civic Cx last September and since have been off and on working on it. Before I bought the car I planned on doing a complete rebuild on it. Well a year later after countless headaches and heartaches... this is where I'm at.

Bought the car... everything stock except had a beat up D15B.. and little did i know a buttload of repaired frame damage

Bought the motor.. Beat up 95 B18C1 with a spun bearing, scratched cylinder walls and a screwed up crankshaft. Build wasn't starting out as planned.

Did the dissassembly and sent the block and head off to the machine shop.

Removed the poor little D15

Got the B18 back from the machine shop, fresh pistons rods and crank, maybe a little compression boost to 11.9?

This is my project so far, needs to go to the frame rack and get adjusted slightly so I can get my strut bar on (stupid 1/4 of an inch!) and it needs a tune. Not planning a complete restore as of now as it needs some body work and paint, but I'm pretty happy with what it is right now. Sorry if I butchered this thread cuz I didnt really know how to post pics. Now just for a stupid "smog" and it will be on the road!

No I think thats all I'm going to do with the motor for now, didn't even plan for the compression boost but my friend at the local shop got me the upgrade for free and insured me that I could run 11.9 on pump gas... and it does without any pings at all. I still need a tune though

bitchin. I love it. Don't normally like carbon stuff, but it's great on a black hatch.

You should know this already, but never never ever drivr around in a GSR swapped hatch with no hood and a bright as valve cover. Unless you were driving so fast your hood ripped off.
You know how many people now know you have a gsr? And those people know more people etc. Theres prone to be thieves within that chain of friends that wants a gsr.

Other than that, its beautiful.

Haha ya wasn't by choice.. had a one day pass for smog... which i didnt use for smog and had a cruise planned with my friends... but i couldn't get the stinkin hood to latch... so i just ran out of time and went for the cruise... it was late and we took canyon roads to the In-n-Out in a different city... definitely wasnt driving it around my town

Its the GSR cluster... that was a fun install but I didn't do that great of a job on making it flush... I'll have to do some more work on it later
