Topic may sound crazy but....I was working on my headlights and when I turn on the Low Beam the radio shuts off. Could be a loose wire somewhere or a short (hopefully not), but where should I start looking?

battery dead? The wire you want to look at is the remote wire into the deck, if its not properly supplying a 12v signal the radio will turn off, of course 12v power and ground wires should also be checked.

I've had a similar problem in the past. For me replacing the battery fixed the prob.

 

Guys I figured out the problem. Honda engineers take power away from your radio and accesories and gives it to the headlights when your battery is very low. When I turned on the low beams the radio went out and so did my radar dectecor connected to my cig. lighter.

So if this happens to you guys, your battery is just probably dead.

That's crazy cause when I hit the brakes my radio turns down. When I push them hard enough and come to a complete stop....they go back up again....
