what are the steps i have to take to primer a car.
can i do it with spray can primer
do i have to go all down to metal
can i just rough sand the clear coat
i did it once on a crx but it started to crack
i gave it a good sand too but it started fading and looked horrible any details will help thanks

 

on my s14 i primered i spray canned it.
i sanded down to bare mettle and did several thin layers
