Default d16z6 - heating/air.

hi, this is for my DD which is a 91 EF hatch with a d15 4 speed. . . . .I wanted to step up to a motor with a little more pep and was looking into the D16z6 . . . . . only question is i know that pretty much all D series are the same but will i have ANY issue with my heating/air conditioning? this is a daily so street use is a -must- i might even just keep it stock exhaust if i can. . . .

Interesting... so both types of the 88~91 A/C brackets bolt up to the Z6 block with no mods?
Do they also bolt to the Y8 block?

Just curious... I know I had to do some minor mods to my power steering bracket to mount up on the Z6 block.

i read somewhere that the ac bracket is the same but id do some more searching on it and your heat should work fine as long as its components have been maintained

Bracket is different.
92~95

88~91's don't have that piece that sticks out on the pulley side.

However, it doesn't mean the 88~91 won't bolt up to the newer block.
Somebody has to have tried.

I used my 91 dx a/c sanden compressor bracket on my d15b vtec as well as my zc vtec as well as my d15b7block w/ jbm d15b vtec head and ALL four bolt lined up perfectly. Heck, it's still up there with my zc vtec as we speak.
