hello there fellow crxers. im trying to figure out which seats will fit into the crx and how. i figure if everyone could state which seats and how they are installed into the crx, then maybe this could be a sticky for the facts section. i guess ill start.

in my 91 crx i have GSR leather seats. i used the back frame, padding and leather cover, complete and bolted it to the CRX seat pan with the butt section leather and foam from the GSR. the swap is pretty easy. just a seat pan swap.

 

I think you anwered your own Question Brother.

It is just a matter of changing seatpans or Re-welding rails.

I used to have RX-7 seats in a civic.

 

yup, with pan swaps u have quite a few choices

 

well i was trying to assemble some information about exactly how each different seat can be installed. some will simply bolt to the crx seat pans. others need to be welded, some wont work, some will easily and some will take welding and such. so please dont reply with obvious and idiotic remarks as they will not make this a usefull thread. anyone with experience on installing any set? which set and how was it done?

The idiotic'ness Going on is your first post.
Swapping out seats is one of the oldest mods in car building period.
It is always a matter of swapping Pans, Rails and/or rewelding. At the highest level is maybe swapping all the padding and covering from frame to frame.

My favorite are Del Sol seats.

 

i use to have 91 civic hatch seats in my 87 300z, used a little bending and washers!!!

 

88-91 CRX seats will fit.
