my car is all stock. 102k mi. 02 type s,

its making this weird noise from the right side when like its in Neutral and after i rev up to lets say any RPM like 3500, then when the revs start goin back down, it makes this weird noise. i cant explain. anybody know what's up? and it happens for like half a second each time i shift and in between gears like from 2nd-3rd or 3rd-4th or 4th-5th or 5th-6th.

 

please help. im worried about my car. i've had oil change, its like at 3k.

 

when u say right side you mean passenger side right? and that sounds pretty unusual to me, is it a physical noise like metal hitting metal or is it a nose that the engine makes like exhaust or intake noises.
new spark plugs and a valve adjustment can clean up a lot of under hood noise but it could be anything from what ya gave us to go with.

 

yeah passenger side. idk how to explain the noise. but after it warms up, i dont really hear it. its not metal, kinda like an air type of noise its like i have a bov but not really. lol. i heard it right after i took it to the 1/4 mile track and smashed it for like 4 runs.

 

air bubbles in the heater? umm

 

Is it a rattle? Like the vtec engine cover rattling at certain rpm's?

Have someone listen around your engine bay and try to find the noise.

 

I say heat shield with that many miles. Best bet is to have someone outside the car to listen for it like White said.

Edit: didnt read your third post... I would check your intake for a clamp that came off or a sensor that came unplugged. If you were wheel hopping it something is bound to come loose.
