still trying to figure out why my car cuts itself off at 6400 instead of 7400 and why my vtec is not working

what ecu are you using and do you have any CELs?

p28 and there is a CEL but there wasnt a year ago when i bought the car when it was doing this same thing.. not reving past 6400 and no vtec

what is the CEL?
are you sure every sensor is plugged in?
you have oil pressure?

the cel is not the problem cause it was not there when i bought the car and have not been able to check the oil pressure but i am not sure that would cause the low redline

if you reset the ecu does it continue to do this?

mine does this too but I have vtec. I think its my tach because vtec kicks around 4100. Remember Vtec isnt going to kick like a dohc. you really have to listen for it.
