Friend of mine has a Civic and her transmission failed. As a favor I'm trying to locate a transmission for her but it appears that transmission around this area are rather expensive. I personally got a transmission for my ranger for $600 delivered to my door. Is there any other car that has the same transmission or maybe a manual swap if its easy. I have no idea on civics I'm just trying to find her another alternative to fix it. Any ideas?

 

I'm going to assume that it's an automatic transmission. I guess it doesn't matter, either way. 01-05 will work.

Then there's always the traditional sources. Craigslist, ebay, newspaper, etc.
