get castrol super clean and a spray bottle, mix it 80 percent with the cleaner and 20 percent water. then add some kerosene to it. kerosene is a parts cleaner and will not harm anything under your hood. make sure to do this at a car wash so you can pressure wash it after letting it sit on the engine for 10 minutes. it will come out nice and shiny.
Putting the simple green and closing the hood and letting it idle sounds to easy lol, and sohc 2nr sounds like if I don't get it right imma blow **** up lol jk where would I get kerosene or however u spell it?
engine brite or simple green works, just cover up electrical stuff, battery alternator etc, and spray it down with the degreaser then water down later
spray on simple green
let it sit for a minute then turn the car on and shut the hood and let it idle for like 2-3 minutes to dry some.
then power wash the engine and it should be good as new.
i'm gonna try it in a week or two once i get my new spark plug wires
just got back from walmart and found no simple green lol, i found some other **** i think it was called engine bright lol, i didnt really want to hose the engine down i wanted to do more of a scrub and spray style lol
I take it to the local DIY car wash.
let engine cool a bit.
Sprinkle some degreaser.
Then get the car brush and go to town on the engine.
Then I get the pressure washer and hit the n00ks and crannies.

sounds like a lot of work even for someone who is layed off lol
most of the time its okay if you dont cover them but i would just in case. cover the distributor and ignition wires. the filter for the intake and the batter just to be safe. dont spray dirrectly on the transmission to much either
didnt think this would get so much attention but thanks for all ur inputs they have been very helpful, still havent done it lol everytime i start to my new born twins do something new i start playin with them lol
