Default Help more torque. and Hp B16

I have a si with a semi built b16. has a few goodies which i will list:

B16a2
Type r header
Type r intake manifold
Type r throttle body
Type r cams
port and polished head
intake
straight pipe
greddy exhaust
b&m fuel pressure regulator
stage one racing clutch with a lightened flywheel (8 or 11 lb)
JDM p30 ecu

Im planning on getting a hondata s300 and tuning it. It's a daily driver and im trying to get it at least to the 200+ to the wheels add a little more torque especially at the low end. any ideas? thanks

Torque? Displacement up and/or turbo.

Maybe a High-Flow Cat get some more back pressure, and some more bottom end resulting in some more torque.

Buy a chev 350 if you want torque, lol, jk

if you want to stay N/A try a 1.9l stroker kit, or even a b20 bottom end.

"there is no replacment for displacement" lol

All motor and B16A do not equal torque!

As already mentioned, eith boost, or get a bigger bottom end. My last B20 setup was toque city, i loved it!!!

btw, the ITR manifold on your B16 is a great way to loose power, the P30 B16A intake manifold is a better performer all the way around.

Do you really lose power? How? Whats a good intake manifold then? Im thinkin of itb's later but in the mean time whats a good manifold?

agree!!! stock bottom end b16's are only good for boost or in an extremely light car.

if you want 200 os so whp its going to take a bit more compression and bigger cams. if you want more torque its going to take ALOT more displacement. LS/Vtec will yeild decent torque and still keep a good top end.

bigger bottom end.

Longer intake runners make more bottom end, it has to do with the air coming in, hitting the valves and bouncing back and then back off the manifold and into the engine and creating a slight ram effect. To help this, the runners are also usually smaller on engines meant to make lower end torque. This isn't good for top end, which is why it's only used on the lower revving engines. ITBs and intake manifolds meant for high revving engines have short, wide runners. These don't get that bouncing effect until higher up the RPM range, but the extra flow is necessary up there.

Nitrous is gonna be the best bang for your buck and produce the numbers your looking for. Without it, look to be spending at least a grand (ls or b20 bottom end) and alot more if you choose to build your current bottom end. Torque is for doing burnouts, no one races there honda below 5k rpm (cause ur not gonna be makin any power). so screw torque unless your one of the 99% of american auto "enthusiest" who love the "low end", in that case go get a 350 like someone else mentioned. Honda motors are built to make power at a high rpm (which generally means no torque) so choose ur mods wisely and increase what you already have. Dont forget most things that make power down low will kill it up high.
