Hi, i've looked around and found that i cannot clearly tell if i will need new mounts for me to swap a GSR motor into my 1993 del sol. I already have HASport billet aluminum solid motor mounts for the car, but the were on the D series that was in it. But then i look at getting swap mounts and some sites have 94-01 Integra, 92-95 civic....listing them together meaning they are the same? Please help, i just need a clear answer that will tell me for sure if i need to get new mounts or if the ones i have will work.

Mounts are the same, as del sols also come with B16s which have the same mounts as GSR

 

which hasport mount kit do you have?

actually the del sol b16s had a different drivers side engine mount than the GSR integra
the del sol had a 2 bolt offset drivers mount while the integra had a 3 bolt drivers mount

 

I have the just the stock replacement kit for 92-95 civic/93-97 del sol/94-01 Integra, and the driver side mount is only the 2 bolt, but i'm pretty sure the GSR i'm swapping in has 2 bolts also. i was more worried about placement of the engine with the axles and what not.

Another question though- instead of getting swap axles, can i just take them apart and the knuckles/joint and then put the del sol -> hub side on and the Integra -> trans parts together, is there any problems with doing that?

Hmm..

 

you CAN use your stock D-series mounts, they are weaker than B series mounts though, it is recommended that you switch to B series mounts to install a B series engine into the del sol.

I am not familiar with the hasports, if they mount up then Id say your probably totally ok using them

 

okay thank you, that is all i needed to know. I actually have the solid motor mounts for the d-series, so i'm thinking they'll be okay for the d series swap.
