Default Is this a good deal?

I have a 96 EK midori hatch with a 99-00 front end, I like it but I want something faster. And I really dont want to do an engine swap. also I perfer the look of the integra over the EK. Anyways I was looking at this car, hows it look?

Used 1998 Acura Integra GSR 2 Door Hatchback

-$5,950
-92,930 miles

Here is my (slow ***) EK it has 93k miles also

clean as far as I can tell, it looks like its from a dealership. But they say no financing, no trades, cash only.

This one looks even better, but miles are set as "unlisted"

Used 1996 Acura Integra GSR 2 Door Hatchback

-$4,950
-miles unlished

I like it, but like I said I really dont want to bother with an engine swap and having to deal with smog issues. I was gonna put a GSR into the EK anyways atleast getting the GSR integra I will already have the GSR and be able to pass smog no prob.

A GSR is 'nicer' than a Civic in more ways than just being faster, IMO, so I'd say go for it if you are never planning on swapping. I'd also get the cleanest GSR you can, unless you really want one with a lot of performance parts already. My thinking is that people who get lots of performance parts and don't know what they are doing can wind up being pretty hard on their cars, and people who keep it clean and just drive it to work are less likely to be rough with the car. The best thing to do is just drive them around -- the chassis and engine will tell you a lot about how the car has been treated in my experience.

Yeah man I like the interior alot more, im just sick of my civic, I want an integra so bad! But I know if I was to put the same engine into my EK I would beat a GSR integra because of weight.

The bank will only loan $4,000, because that is what it is worth.

Look at the Black book value:

Consider a 2001 Type R, 101,000 miles. in Milwaukee, WI on autotrader.com. for $8,500.00

$8,500 is too much I can get a S2000 for $9000.

The white GSR looks good, I'd shoot to pick it up for 5k, maybe even 4.8k and for the mileage on that hatchback.

The issue with the white GSR isn't the taillights, those can easily be taken care of. The real issue with that car is the disgusting tan interior.

I'd go with the white GSR. It's a lot easier to start with a clean car, body work is expensive.
