Azenis wear after 2000 street miles and 4/5 autocrosses
Did some work on the R yesterday including new plugs and changing the oil and also went ahead and rotated the tires. Before the pictures let me tell you I'm not a very aggressive driver on the street and don't kill my tires. However the tires do have 4 or 5 autocrosses on them, most of which were in pretty extream heat. NOw for the pics. The links under each pic are for a HUGE version of the same pic.

Also the rubber buildup you can see on the inside of the rear tires was picked up from a autocross held at a local oval track, and just hadn't come off the tires yet. After rotating the rears to the front the extra tread depth was evident making the car feel a little more twitchy, but I've gotten used to it now and can barely, if at all, tell the difference.

They are in better shape than mine are in. I checked my alignment the other day and found out the place that aligned it f'd it all up. I had almost 2.5 degress negative tow. I ate over half my tires in 1000 miles.
Stupid alignment shop, what were they thinking

It was an alignment shop that we used to use. They didn't charge me for the alignment so they didn't give me a sheet on it. Needless to say we now have our own alignment rack and do our own alignments now.
