rear disk brake conversion
I was wondering if someone could direct me to some place or info on converting the rear drums on my 1990 accord coupe ex. Thanks I'm sure there is a post out there but i havent found one after looking for a few days.
well i just saw that the 92-93 models came with it would i be able to just use the parts from those years or do the rear ends differ that much
I have done the swap. Basically you will remove the whole rear end in one assembly. Its easy work but heavy lifting.
You can use the abs version of parts.
Jack up the car as high as possible. I used jack stands on top of cinder blocks.
Things to remove:
1. emergency brake cables, cut ABS sensor wires, remove brake lines.
2. upper control arms 4 14mm bolts
3. 8 bolt holding control arms onto the car
4. 4 big bolts holding on the sub frame.
To install:
jack up the sub frame with a friend and bolt on the sub frame. Re install everything and bleed the brakes. A 4040 proportion valve is needed to.
