For sale is my 1980 JDM, right hand drive prelude 2500!!!!
Tudor red
5spd
cloth interior
146,000 km possibly just 46k I have no way to tell
I bought this last year, and although I love it it is just impractical for me to have 2 cars I don't want to see the winter. I got it from a member in Ohio. When I got it it had a slight bend in the front from an accident. I had the subframe straightened (it was not very bad)
the car is really fun to drive considering the 72hp EK1 engine.
I am not sure if there are any others in the us, I have not found any others however someone in Australia has the exact sister car.
I get approx 36 mpg highway/30 city, but I have a light foot usually.
the main differences between JDM/US besides the rhd are the rear wiper, fog lights and fender mirrors. the black interior was not a us option
The good:
performed in feb '08
-new clutch
-timing belt water pump/coolant flush
-valve adjustment
-front brakes and calipers
-alignment
-cap/rotor/plugs
-cleaned carb
-repainted flakey valve cover and air filter assy.
-A/C functional, a bit low on charge, but works (r-12)
-reliable as a DD (if you must)
The bad:
-no e-brake, the rear two cables would need replacement
-some rust, mostly surface although, both rockers have a hole approx 3"x2", and a perforation in the cowl the size of a ball point pen tip
-missing top windsheild trim
-turn signal does not cancel on right turns
-the display thinks the LR brake light does not work, although it does work fine.
-seats need reupolstering
-currently needs a rear wheel bearing, but expect it to be replaced within a week or two, noisy and annoying but drives fine.
Pics are current as of 10-6-09

I would consider a trade for a pickup, pre 90's dodge or chevy preferred.
thanks for looking!

I would equate that to shooting an endangered species
the farthest I would go personally, would be an EL head with a weber. I have been very hesitant to alter it from its original form, especially since I have no idea if there is another in the us... I still run all the original vacuum system on the stock carb, with the p.i.a. black boxes of mystery.
but, buyers choice I guess.
