Default New kid wit some q's

I have a 95 accord, auto, it sucks, i know. Im tryin to switch it to stick, but i wanna know which tranny i should go with, since eventually ill wanna swap out the engine, or possibly keep it depending on how it feels, plus maybe turbo-ing it one day. this process will not be like asap, this is just over the next year or so, or even longer. Let me know what you guys think im down for all opinions.

that search function is awesome, it will pull up who knows how many threads about trannys you can use.

for starters, the F or H trannys. like the one that came with the 5 speed 5th gen accords

i could be mistaken, but i believe that the f and h manual transmissions are interchangeable..so go w/ whichever depending on what you really want and/or budget. if you really want to go turbo, you can really build those f series very well and go w/ a h23 trans to stay in longer boost...
i heard f series are better to boost than h22's unless you go w/ a h23...
just keep in mind that its a lot of parts and work to change it over to manual and also to run turbo...
i'd decide on the motor set-up that you really want to go w/ 1st and then do the manual conversion at that time...

First finalize what route your actualy goin (turbo f22, or N/A h22, etc.) then you can pick the best tranny. Dont know much about turbo's and what trannys are optimal, but if your going all motor (N/A) i'd suggest an h22 tranny or a custome peiced together one. From what iv heard the h22 trannys have the shortest gear ratios which is good for a "race car" or sporty car, but keep in mind h22's redline around 8k, puttin in a h22 tranny with shorter gears to your f22 (low reving engine) might not be the best thing. Im sure it will pull better but your "cruising" RPMs might be fairly high and put unecessary wear on an otherewise stock engine... just my $.02

all the H motors and F motors transmissions will interchange, however question is will it work electrically? (automatics only).........putting a H manual in your car means 4K at 70 on the tach

yea im not sure which id like to do yet. Id honestly say id prefer to run turbo. as for the f or h series im going to have to do some research as to which id do. But i assume putting an f series tranny, then building the engine, and eventually turboing would be the best route? Im sure this would be better off reposted ina difrent section lol
