Hey all. One of my friends found an EDM guage cluster for his 91 Crx. the car has a B16a OBD1 swap running a Hondata s300. I know the cluster will bolt in but have also heard that there are some wiring issues to deal with. Can anyone elaborate on these please? Thank you.

 

what year is the EDM cluster? as far as I know, if it isnt from a the same 2 years as yours (88-89 or 90-91) then you gotta rewire it up for those years

 

Look on this thread and go to FAQ 2.0 and look for the cluster wiring. It's easy to do it

 

From personal experience, here's your answer....

NO WIRING!!

As long as you have a usdm 90-91 civic/crx Si, all you do is take the original gauges out of the original usdm cluster housing (5 mins to do), and drop in the edm gauges right in...another 5 mins!
The only difference is the green print sheet on the back has 2 wiring positions slightly off, switching cluster housings solves the need for any wiring...easiest mod ever

if you just straight swap out the clusters you will get these lights...




i just swapped out the tach and speedometer....



after that worked like it came in the car.

 

I swapped in the UKDM tachometer and speedometer into my USDM cluster also.
