Default revving integra (b18b1)

I know the redline on the ls motor is rated at 6800, but how come I can rev higher then that and the rev limiter is around 7000, if I go to 7000 on a properly warm engine is it fine? I know you lose performance.

Please. Sell your car.

The actual mechanical limits of the motor is 7200rpm...leave it there for 15 minutes. Watch what happens.

taking your car up to 7k even 7.2k is fine only if you do it every once in a while when it's appropriate. Just remember that if your car breaks because you abuse it too much, it's your money that is paying for it and it is not cheap either.B20 and b18b1 are not like the Vtec B Series motor and not really intended for high end abuse because we have smaller rod bolts than vtec motors so just be careful with what you do.The head of a B18 can handle the pressure, it's just the block that can't.Small rod bolts + daily abuse=motor waiting for death.

please be more open minded, I don't need to sell my car. Even though this is my first car i have swapped with an ls, i'm not used to the b series. Obviously I would not keep it above redline longer then 10 secs... no point, even if; the redline is set at 7000 for a purpose. I like that you replied but it was pretty rude on what you had to say. My dd is k powered and yes it is built internally (only the head atm), but please refrain from rude comments as such. We come on these forums to learn and socialize not to bash each other. It's honda-tech for christs sakes

You know nothing of Honda-Tech.

This all this site is. Bashing.

You come in posting something like that, but claim to own a K swap DD car?

No sir. You make no sense. B swaps are simple, they rev nicely but oh well. Don't beat the **** out of it.
