Default FPR or FMU wich one right now.....

k i got my e-check papers this week..... i gotta check it before november
well my car runs rich, bc of the setup i got (see sig)
well i wanted to get a FPR and lean it out and try to pass smog....
i am putting togheter a turbo setup.... i will be buying a Vortech FMU 12:1...
does the FMU replaces the FPR?? i am about to go buy a FPR ........ should i just buy the FMU or just buy the FPR?? will i need the FPR when i install the FMU??or can i buy them both....... all the inputs will be appreciated!

the FMU doesnt not replace the regulator. you can buy both or get the cartech 2025
it is both a regulator and adjustable FMU. but the price tag is kinda high. its up to how much money you want to spend. i had a regulator and 12:1 fmu before and the cartech is much nicer.

I dont even have a FPR.. stock is fine. Get the FMU.

P.S. B16 injectors arent any different then any other honda injectors... only the prelude h22 injectors are bigger. According to those mods you should pass fine. I had the same setup and passed with flying colors. Just make sure your 02 is in good shape and your cat is doin good.

well the thing is that the cat might be shot since my old engine was burning oil....... it might be all clogged and ****....... and about the O2, its a brand new BOSCH that i put in when i swaped bc the other one was dead thanxs to the burning oil....... i can smell gas when i turn my car on.... hopefully it wont smell that much.....

also i was thiking when getting the FPR putting it @ around 25-30 psi.... will that be too lean??what will be enought to me to go and pass fine?

I seriously doubt that youll pass with a clogged cat...

EDIT: I keep my car registered in Mississippi where theres no smog regulations... maybe you would benefit from registering it in another county if youre so worried?
