as far as i know...no, honda transmissions dont have an i.d. that identify them to a specific model, however, they do have a sticker that has a transmission serial number...but im not sure if the dealers can use that trans serial number to cross reference to what motor...
im thinking your set up in your 90 accord (odb1) is a 94 accord ex motor and transmission...
which is an odb1 vtec accord motor...

the problem with that is that the stamp on the motor clearly (in person) on the block right under the exaust manifold states its an f23a1 which is a vtec this here is taken from wikipedia when u look up the honda f series motor

F23A1
This engine was used in the 1998-2002 Honda Accord LX, EX, and SE, and in the Acura 2.3CL in North America.

Specifications

Bore × Stroke: 86.0 × 97.0 mm
Displacement: 2254 cc
Valve Configuration: SOHC, 16 valves, VTEC
Compression ratio: 9.3:1
Max power: 150 hp (112 kW) @ 5700 rpm
Max torque: 152 ft·lbf (205 N m) @ 4900 rpm

so as for the set up in the car i know it has the f23a1 motor in there its wired up and it runs but the tranny doesnt engage properly so im guessing it needs to be replaced im just wondering if the car would run if it wasnt wired correctly because it runs smoothe at a low rpm and doesnt vibrate im just trying to not get the wrong tranny because of wiring issues

pics of the actual engine are right here on my myspace http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...albumId=753386 and you can clearly see its not an early year accord engine and way different to the motor that is originally in the car

its a automatic im wondering if there is anything other then an an h22/h23 tranny that will bolt up to it and make it operate like normal because the h22/23 is scarse down here in florida will it be better to try to find a f23a tranny to mate up to it or stick to the h22 whats the difference with the ls integra tranny except that the h22/23 is a dohc and that the f23a runs off of sohc how different is the f23a tranny from the h22a ive called every junk yard for the h22 within a 30 mile radius and they all tell me good luck i only paid 450 for the car and it came as is with the rims after market speakers and cd player inside looks good for a car that is a 90 no rips or anything i am pretty much able to do anything when it comes to pulling and fixing but this has me stumped because i dont know which direction im going in with what was done
