Stock 93 original engine/clutch- how much longer?
Hello integra drivers,
My 93 1.8 5 spd stock integra has nearly 170k original miles on an original clutch and engine.
There is no oil burn, and I've changed my own oil (no synth) every 5k miles.
With a new front axle, newer exhaust and tires, new timing belt, and newer outer tie rods and boots, is now the time to consider selling and how much is too much to ask for the best car I've ever owned?
The a/c quit a long time ago, and the car has roll down windows (I don't know of any other acura that has roll down windows).
With a 70/30 city/highway mix, I get 29-31 mpg.
How long can this car last, in your experience?
Thanks for your comments!!!!

It sounds like you have taken pretty good care of your car. A leakdown and compression test can give you a pretty good idea of how healthy your motor is. Is there anything wrong with the car? If theres nothing wrong with it I cant really see a reason to get rid of it unless you just want something else.
By roll-down windows do you mean they're not power windows?
I'm in a similar situation - I plan to keep mine until it dies, which I am hoping will get past 300k miles
Keep it, these cars are awesome.

I'm the 2nd owner, since 2001.
I still see this generation out on the road, but rarely non-lowered or street modded for racing. It even has the original plastic wheel covers for the black steel wheels.
I've tried the AC fix from auto zone, but it only lasted a few days before it ran out. I suspect there is a leak or two somewhere, but its not worth tumbling down that rabbit hole by trying to fix it.
My biggest complaints are no AC, no cruise control, and hard to fix front fog lights.
Any suggestions?
I really do like the looks of when both of the lights are working, but it looks foolish with only one working.
I suppose I should change both if I can figure it out.

If you haven't yet, I recommend checking g2ic.com and check on the forum and also teg tips for your fixes.
My buddy has a DA at 220k original engine and clutch and still runs nicely. It all depends on how well you treat it and your style of driving. Keep it, you'll miss it if you sell it.
