Icon6 90 Ex Accord With A F23A1 Vtec

I have a 90 accord with a F23A1 Vtec 2.3l automatic motor in it and i knew when i bought it that it had a transmission problem

i am trying to find a replacement tranny and dont have the slightest idea which tranny is being used in it now i know the 4th gen accord comes with a F22A4 non vtec does anyone know where a tranny stamp would be on the tranny and any operational differences between the original f22a4 non vtec tranny and a tranny from the f23a1

i need help getting a list of which tranny is compatible with my motor and harness and any and all parts that i will need to replace while swapping i will need to make this car my daily driver. the car runs and idles like new but when it is put into gear it doesnt shift off the bat it makes a grinding noise (ex.. of carpentry saw type noise) and will shift roughly into gear but wont make the noise in netural or while in park but while in park the key cannot be turned to the off position to cut power i am reading in different post that a h22/23 tranny will bolt up to it but how much mods have to be done to make the swap work

your help and suggestions is gladly appreciated

i can be reached at da_real_pr_badboy@yahoo.com anytime it fowards straight to my phone

if it has a throttle control cable then it is the original 90-93 tranny.

yes, it adjusts the shift point based on load / acceleration demand.
