A computer with S300 installed, a basemap and a labtop to upload the basemap. If you want to do some street tuning you'll need a wideband. But that's about it.

PS the only H22 basemap on Hondatas software is for 440cc injectors, so you'll need someone to make you a basemap. Then to have it run right you'll need to install a wideband and street tune the A/F.

You can not chip a p13 to run Hondata. Also, p28/p72 are the better choices, but are not the only ones.

Also to be noted, is that a P28 doesn't have a knock sensor nor can it control the butterfly valves in the intake manifold.

I can't imagine what Virgin P28/P72s are going for these days.

I'd suggest doing some reading before you go with S300. A basemap is ether an educated quess to get you in the general direction for your motor or it's a map from a different car. Ether way it needs to be tuned for your specific set up.

I bought my S300 professionally installed in a P28 for $550 shipped; lucky find.

ok so the smanager has preset maps under the calibrations and then from there u can just upload it to the ecu http://www.hondata.com/help/smanager/index.html, then work on it from there, right?

edit: ahhw which is exactly what i missed in the second post....

Exactly, a basemap is just a starting point and shouldn't be driven hard.

I bought a basemap from Motoxxman; I don't know if he's on here or not though. If I would of had a wideband and alittle more knowlege at the time, I would've just made a map myself.

I bought the P28/S300 off a guy on ************. It was brand new and came with a reciet. And I'm using it on my H22A 4th gen Prelude.

EDIT HT doesn't like Prelude Power lol

I know some tuners use a different map off of an integra for a starting point, but I'm not sure which one. I think it's a GSR map or something.

Do you have a wideband? I'd use the H22 map supplied with Smanage and tune the A/F.

How much did they charge you for a calibration? I have a map that I made myself, with a perfect airfuel of 13.1-13.3 from 4000rpm till 7500rpm.

^I think it was like $40, that was just a waste. The map was VERY rich and retarted. I removed 20% fuel just to get me in the ball park to actually start tuning it. What a waste of money.

I found a H22A7(Accord Type R) map on Hondata's forums, that I'm currently using; after some tuning of course. It has alot more timing than the basemap I bought(10ish* at WOT). My partial throttle power is MUCH better and their's noticably more power at WOT.

^A wideband is a must other wise your blindly running a map and have no way to know what's going on.

I have no clue what you're trying to say. If it's tuning related, RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH.
