Simple problem, but an annoying one....

My mom's 2005 TL must have something programmed because everytime I'll get back into the car (right when the driver door opens), there is a beep and the seat reclines nearly all the way. So each time you get in, you have to readjust it back to where it was before.

This problem had never occurred until the most recent time it was taken to the dealer. I'm guessing they programmed something for "driver 1" or "driver 2".

I don't have the Owner's Manual in front of me, but I was wondering if someone might know what how to fix this.

tell her to set her seat where she wants it... and then look on the back of the door unlock fob she is using. It will say 1 or 2 on it.

Tell her to set her seat and then on the driver door hit mem and then (corresponding key fob) number. After that it will be set for her.

You have to go into the dashboard settings to turn it off though.

make sure you hold the memory button until it gives a confirmation beep usually 2-5 seconds after you press it down
