my motor came with 4 inch exhaust all the way to the back, it sounds terrible but I was wondering if you think I 'm losing any power cause the exhaust is so big

go back to stock, no need for anything above 2.25" on stock. And how the hells did you find out you have a 4" exhaust ? Was this a race car before you got it ? .. How are you measuring 4inches ?

im not an idiot lol it really is a 4 inch exhaust straight pipe nothing in there at all. I didn't put it in there but I did find a recipt for 4 inch pipe installed for 200 bucks at a muffler shop. I don't want it in there. I will replace it soon I was just curious if I'm losing power because of it

Holy that's a massive exhaust. I think Ryan Woons 1000+ hp Supra was running a 4 inch?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you will lose down low torque with a larger exhaust. Although with some mods and tuning the H22 does like 3 inch (according to some dyno graphs on here).

Seems pretty cheap for a 4" exhaust.....
Where does it start as 4"?
I'd actually love to see a pic of this.

I think the size of the piping is pretty irrelevant. As long as its not smaller than stock set-up, there isnt much power to worry about losing or gaining.

I've just never heard of someone dumb enough to use a 4" on an N/A 4cyl.

how about running a dual exhaust with a 3" inlet on a n/a 2001 prelude? i'm going for a show car so, power isn't really a big deal. i had a shop say they can run 2.25" or 2.5" piping up to the mufflers.

If I know the car has an I4 and someone puts dual exhaust on it, it instantly looks stupid. I think it's just the knowlege that it would make more power with a single.

show cars do not follow convention. The more outlandish and stupid it looks the better is the only way I've figured for those guys.

But I'm going to guess it was a serious ricer mod for the OP. I wouldn't put it past the ricers.

yO! Son tHaT eXhAuSt wIt Fo iNcH pIpE N qUaD mIsHiMoTo mUfFleRs iZ tiiiTe!!!

Some of the abortions I have seen from online "shows" are almost cause for a gasoline fight and a thrown lit cigarette

4" exhaust...and he didnt see that when he "bought" the car this way?

My guess is you dont race anwyay so the power you "might" be losing isnt worth the calories youll burn changing it out. Let alone the money outlay for a 2.5" header back system

Keep in mind diesels use 4" piping and you can find it pretty cheap at the good-ole-boys muffler shop.

Get-R-Done 4" exhaust for $200 by Bubba....completely plausible
